She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1977 at the Vincent Hložník Department of Book Graphics and Illustration. She has illustrated more than 40 books for children and adults - works by A. Lindgren, A. S. Pushkin, H. Ch. Andersen and M. Rúfus. She has received numerous awards for her illustration work in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. She is a recipient of both the BIB Plaque and the Golden Apple, and in 1996 she was included in the IBBY Honour List for her illustrations of Adam and Eve. Through the years of creation, her works become softer, more and more meadow flowers are added, and even more micro-stories hidden in the details under the story, the lines become more and more delicate, her world is as if in a haze, the saturation of colours gives way to airiness. The form has stabilised - she paints her illustrations exclusively on bleached, starched canvas. It is necessary to look at them closely, preferably with a magnifying glass, to let oneself be "carried away" into a world without expression, without conflict.
